Obituary of Howard Joseph LeBlanc, Jr.

On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Howard Joseph LeBlanc Jr. (Howie) passed away after an illness in the comfort of his home in Bluffton, SC. Howie was born December 14, 1930 in Waltham MA to Howard Joseph LeBlanc Sr. and Mary Flanagan.

Howie is survived by his wife Nelita of 34 years along with 5 daughters and 2 sons. His children are Gayle Kimber, Kathleen Petrucci, Michael LeBlanc, Debra Gillooly, Linda Prescott, Donald LeBlanc, and Donna O’Toole. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Howie was a long time NRA member, hunter, and gun enthusiast. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan enjoying their many recent years of success. Howie was known for his quick wit and distinct memories of family history. He often entertained with tales from hunting camp and with family stories including many from his childhood. Howie was a loving husband and father. He will be missed greatly.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the wonderful people from Tidewater Hospice who made his last days as comfortable as possible. Due to the current pandemic there will be a small closed memorial service for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the charity of your choice.
