Obituary of Ray Ervin Roberson

Ray E Roberson - Cottageville

In loving memory of our father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.  Sunrise April 30,1947  Sunset August 2, 2020.

Raised in Goose Creek he attended Berkeley High School.  He was a veteran of the USAF (Vietnam) and he had a lifelong passion for animals, raising and showing pigeons and he loved every second of educating his grandsons on snakes and other animals.  

He was predeceased by his parents William and Mary Roberson of Goose Creek, his brothers William "Sammy" Roberson of Kentucky, David Roberson of Goose Creek, his wife Mary Roberson of Cottageville, and his stepson Kenneth James of Columbia.  

He is survived by his children Shawna (Chuck) Lisenby, William "Skipper" (Joann) Missey, Ray E. Roberson Jr. "Skeeter" (Darcy) , Crystal (Rick) Barfield, Brothers Larry (Connie) Roberson, Jerry (Sally) Roberson, sisters Lynda (Billy) Thierfelder, Tonya (Patrick) O'Connor, Grandchildren Christopher "Nevada" Duncan, Vanessa (Michael) Sheahan, Gage Freeman, Gavin and Granger Barfield, and Dakota Roberson.  Greatgrands Serenity and Hailey Duncan, Atticus Anderson and Jaxson Sheahan.  Step children Amanda James Keith, April Towrey, and Zach Jeleniewski.  

Loved by numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends of South Carolina and Kentucky, his "snake crew" and bike friends whom he considered his family ,a very caring and loving special friend Beverly James, and his best buddy and companion of many many years his dog "FAT BOY".
