In memory of our cherished mother, Barbara was a loving sister, devoted wife, and the most giving friend. Mom loved reading her Bible in addition to reading up to a book a day! She enjoyed the many cruises and trips she made around the globe. Mom adored animals of all types. She valued her time with family and friends, and especially her Wednesday Girl’s Days. Mom was generous to a fault. She gave without measure to everyone she knew.

 

Of Nordic decent, Barbara was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on May 17, 1943. This was an especially important date for her, as it is Norwegian Independence Day. 

 

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Margaret Holdorff, as well as her grandson, Simon Peter Bisogno. She is survived by her three children, Donna (Rocky) Bisogno, Brian (Esther) Henry, and Kevin (Jacqueline) Stasik, nine grandchildren whom she adored and 3 great grandchildren whom she had the pleasure of holding in her arms. She is also survived by four siblings, Judy (Joe) Condo, Marjorie (Robert) Swisher, Robert Holdorff, and Jeannie (David) Woodruff, to include her many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as her best friend Claudette McManus.

 

Mom was a devoted Child of Christ. She looked forward to her weekly Bible studies and enjoyed going to church. She was a member of Riverbluff Church in N. Charleston, SC
