Obituary of Calvin Winston James

Calvin Winston James was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 6, 1976 to Stephenson and Ernestine James. He gained his wings on August 20, 2020.

Calvin attended school in the Norfolk Public Schools and Berkeley County School Districts. He has been employed in the carpentry, construction, car detailing, towing services, and disaster recovery industries throughout his career.

Calvin loved his family and friends unconditionally.

Calvin’s first love was for travel. He crossed many borders and he enjoyed traveling by car. His sense of adventure was only surpassed by his free spirit. He never met a stranger along his travels, just new friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ray

James.

Left to cherish his precious memories are: his children, daughters, Julia Herring and Deja Hughes, sons, Cane James ,Ty Willingham and Tyler Hughes; his mother, Ernestine James; father, Stephenson James; sister, Takisha James Solomon (Carl); niece, Clarke Solomon; nephews; Carl Solomon II and Charles James Jr.; sister-in-love, Shannon Hawkins; and a host of aunts, uncles and other loving relatives.
