Obituary of Charlie Leroy Reynolds
Charlie "Leroy" Reynolds, 73, of North Charleston, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Charleston, SC.
Leroy was born in Charleston, SC to Frank and Alice Reynolds, on May 17, 1947. He was a veteran of the US Army, where he served 6 years, with two tours in the Vietnam War. He served in the 25th Infantry Division and was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy and the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal for his time served during the war. He earned the Expert Marksmanship Badge and, when he was honorably discharged from his service, he held the rank of Sergeant. He loved to read and had a passion for all the old-time westerns.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Simplicity Lowcountry in North Charleston. Due to current restrictions, you will be required to wear a mask and only 30 people will be allowed in at one time. We are asking all those who attend, to please, rotate in and out so that all who want to be a part can participate.
