Obituary of Kim Anderson

Kim Anderson N. CHARLESTON – Kim Anderson, daughter of the late Roderick and Alwyne Thomas, loved to travel and is headed on her best journey yet. She went to her eternal rest on Saturday, February 11th at the age of 78. She was born in Trinidad in the West Indies and after living in NYC, Miami, Italy, and Guam to name a few, she called Charleston her home in 1975. She was the owner of Flowers by Kim, one of the most prestigious shops in North Charleston for over 25 years. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with a joke or two! She will always be remembered for her bubbly spirit. She is survived by her brother, Gene Thomas and sister, Joyce Wells; three children, Patrick Spoon, Bonnie (Steve) Antley, and Su-Lin (John) Timberman; along with five grandsons; and her partner, Carroll Maffett. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th from 10-11 a.m. at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
