Obituary of Helen Elaine McMahan

Helen “Mac” Elaine McMahan, 62 years old, of Charleston, S.C., passed away at her home on December 5, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, North Charleston, S.C. December 11 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bobby McMahan, 2654 Orchid Avenue, North Charleston, S.C., 29405. Elaine was born July 26, 1954 in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Francis and Ernest McMahan. She graduated from Garrett High School and held several jobs over the years. Her latest employment was with Lowe’s Home Improvement Company. Elaine was socially active in her community with sports and following Clemson football being her greatest interests. She played on the Flyers softball team for several years. She was outgoing, personable, often referred to as the “team jokester” and “life of the party” at social gatherings”. She will be missed by her family and friends. Elaine is survived by her two brothers Bobby McMahan and Clyde Cargill of Lake Ridge, Virginia.
