Bryan Goodas

Obituary of Bryan L. Goodas

Bryan L. Goodas, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of May 2, 2018. He was the loving son of Barbara and Bruce Goodas, brother and best friend to Bruce, and devoted owner of his dog Nucky.

Bryan was born in New Jersey and at the age of six, he and his family moved to beautiful Oneonta, New York. Growing up there, he and his brother were actively involved in sports such as baseball, bowling, and umpiring baseball games like their father. Bryan graduated from Oneonta High School in 2008, and was proud to be accepted by the Citadel Military College of South Carolina. He graduated in 2012 with a degree in Political Science, International Affairs, and Military Science. While studying there, he fell in love with the state of South Carolina and decided to make it his permanent home. He later enticed his brother Bruce and Bruce's girlfriend Victoria (Tori) to move to the state to join him. Bryan structured his career to be in politics, and became a Political Advisor and Campaign Manager. At the time of his passing, he was running for Berkley County Councilman. Bryan was a loving, caring, intelligent, quick-witted young man, with as unwavering sense of humor.

Bryan is survived by his father Bruce, mother Barbara, brother Bruce, Aunt Patty (Uncle Arthur Kessler), cousin Kimberly (Gerard & Jason Barry), Aunt Janice (Uncle Steven Zaytoun), and cousin Aurora Zaytoun with whom he shared a special bond. He also leaves behind his extended family and the Bregman family, Victoria Jensen, as well as many friends and colleagues.

Bryan will be eternally loved and greatly missed by his family, and by all who knew him. We were all so proud of his accomplishments. Bryan was and will forever be our bright and shining star.
