Obituary of Janet Robinson Gresh

Janet Robinson Gresh of North Charleston, SC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 7, 2016. She was born August 18, 1935 to the late Earl and Helen Robinson of Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Rev. Don Gresh, Sr., in 2014 and her son, Brian Gresh, in 2014. Janet is survived by her brother Larry Robinson (Diane), children Don Gresh, Jr. (Joyce), Cheri Gresh Minahan (Matt), Michael Gresh (Susan), Elaine Gresh (daughter-in-law). Grandchildren Jeffrey (Josie), Jonathan (Natalie) Jodi Gresh Dunphy (Ken) Audri and Khloe Gresh, Michael Minahan (Preesa), Heidi Minahan Johnson (Kit), Jessica Minahan White (Richard), Michelle Gresh Thompson (Paul), Andrew, Bradley, Alaina , Addie and Madison Gresh. Her great-grandchildren were Ansley, Cade, Esther, Levi and Rosie Gresh, James and Isaac Johnson, Olivia Thompson, Ariana and Josephina White; multiple nieces, nephews, and dear friends from Palmetto Christian Academy. Janet was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she also managed a reading resource lab for students at Northside Christian School. She first taught kindergarten at Temple Baptist Church where her husband was the pastor. She also taught at Harvest Baptist Church School and Palmetto Christian Academy. She was a wonderful godly woman, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, teacher, and friend. She never knew a stranger and was always ready to teach children especially how to live a life serving Christ. Education was very important to Janet, as her students would agree with. She loved to read and loved the Atlanta BRAVES baseball team. Burial will be private. A Celebration of her life will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church, 7800 Northside Drive, N. Chas., SC. Family will receive visitors at 1PM. She had a love for flowers and would have wanted any memorials given to Northside Christian School, 7800 Northside Drive., N. Chas., SC 29420 or Palmetto Christian Academy, 321 Egypt Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
