Obituary of William Bruce Watson, Sr.

       William "Bruce" Watson Sr., 61, of Mount Pleasant lost his battle to cancer on December 12, 2020.  Bruce was a devoted father and husband.

     Mr. Watson was born in Brunswick, GA, the son of the late Elmon Watson Jr. and the late Bessie Leona Watson. 

     He was a jack of all trades and had several jobs over the years such as a baker, commercial fisherman, plumber, carpet installer, tree surgeon, mechanic, cable installer, and a carpenter. He was the owner of an interior and exterior trim business, and lastly an owner operator over the road truck driver.

     Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Carolyn L. Watson; two daughters Christine Patil (Atish) of Monks Corner and Diana Watson (Edgar Sayles) of Hanahan, one step daughter Julia Howell (Dan Johnson) of Ladson, two sons Joseph Watson of Mount Pleasant and William Watson of Charleston; two sisters Gwen Moser of Charlotte and Donna Perritt of Charleston; two brothers, Elmon "Buster" Watson, III (Phylis) and Christopher Watson (Tasha) of Mount Pleasant, three grandchildren and one on the way: Pranaya Patil, Shreeta Patil and Skylar Sayles.

     The memorial will be on December 23rd at 11am at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.
