Obituary of Sarah Jane Johnson

Sarah (Cookie) Jane Robinson Johnson was the last person born in the historical Jarigan Brick House, A.K.A. The Peak House, March 21,1947 in Clinton Tennessee. The Jarigan House was used as a hospital during the Civil War. Her parents were Sarah Lee Peak Robinson and Jack C. Robinson. She died December 17th at home with her husband, Robert (Bob) Johnson. She earned a B.A. degree in government from Mills College, Oakland, CA. and an M.S. in education from the University of Southern California. 

She and Bob were married for nearly 54 years. They have an adorable daughter, Arinn Kristine Johnson Wardell and husband Donta, and two beautiful granddaughters, Bethany Madison Wardell and Volina Lee Wardell, all of Hilton Head Island, SC. She cherished her family and had many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be announced later. In lieu of flowers. Donations may be may to the Island Lutheran Church, their Members Helping Members Mission.The address is 4400 Main St.,Hilton Head Island, SC. 29926. Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, Bluffton, SC.
