 Laid to eternal rest, January 10^th, 2021. Roderick Newbern, 71, of Charleston, South Carolina.

 

 Beloved husband, and best friend to his wife of 37 years, Robin. Loving father to his daughters, Sherry McBride, (Husband Jess) and Tiffany Felkel (Husband Willis). Loving, and devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren (Abigail 7, Cooper 5, and Riley 9).

 Roderick died due to complications from a long and pre-existing illness.

Rod was born in Massachusetts, son to Joe, and Florence Newbern (both deceased).

 He retired from Bi-Lo groceries after 48 years of service as a grocery manager, and produce manager.

 Rod was an avid fisherman, and hunter. He loved nothing more than being out on the river or the ocean catching fish. He will always be remembered for his quick, wonderful smile, and his great, easy going personality.

 As well as his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, he is survived by his sisters Roxanne Schrage, and Helena Peralta. He is also survived by nephew, Chris Newbern, and his nieces, Jana Rannkin, and Adrienne Jennings, as well as his great nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by an older brother, Jody Newbern.

 

Because of the pandemic at this time, a memorial, or virtual service will be announced at a later date.
