Obituary of Frank Mahoney III
Frank Mahoney, III, 66, of Darlington went to Heaven, Saturday morning, Dec. 5th 2020, to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His leaving was greatly unexpected to his family and friends, but of course not to Frank's Lord. Born Dec. 4, 1954 in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late Cephas F. Mahoney, Jr. and Betty Jo Thompson Mahoney. Frank grew up on Johns Island, in the special neighborhood of Fenwick Hills. He made numerous life long friends in those special growing-up years. He graduated High School in 1973, from the first Graduating Class at Sea Island Academy. Frank in his younger years tried his hand at working various jobs one being Murray’s Fishing Charter boat. He then worked for Nelson's Signs with his childhood friend Woody Nelson. Frank graduated from Trident Tech in electrical field. He and his Daddy shared joining the Masonic Fidelity Lodge #304 of Johns Island. He ventured into the Sales world and was very successful for the next 30 years, his last position at Piedmont Chrysler in Anderson, SC. Frank loved cars and guns and a true American Patriot. He enjoyed humor and laughter and encouraging others with life stories and day to day little joys. Frank kept in touch and loved on his friends and family on Facebook. He met the love of his life, his wife Jeanie, who he called a “true angel sent by God”. They both took each day and enjoyed each other, a connection, few ever experience. He is survived by Jeanie Blue, Jeanie's son Keith Blue, and Chloe their loveable dachshund all of Bennettsville, SC. Two sisters Sterling Price (Kenny) of James Island and Edna Thompson (Albert) of Johns Island. Many beloved cousins and family.
