Obituary of Abraham Johnson

Abraham Johnson was born on April 1, 1931. In the Sheldon Township of Beaufort, SC. To the late Hattie Johnson. Abraham received his education in the local public schools of Beaufort County. He moved to Canton, Ohio in 1950, to seek employment. On October 27, 1951, he married the love of his life Netha Green. He was employed with Timken Roller Bearing Company for 19 years. On October 7, 1957, he dedicated his life to Jehovah. In 1958, he was among the thousands that attended the landmark convention in New York City. In 1969, he decided to move back to South Carolina with his family. He enjoyed landscaping, construction, and farming. But, his greatest joy was sharing his conviction about God's Kingdom with family and friends and with anyone who would listen. He's well known for his meekness and his zeal for the ministry.   

Those left to cherish his memories include his devoted and loving wife of 69 years Netha Johnson(Beaufort, SC), 2 sons  Edgar Brown (Mary) of Mount Vernon, New York, Henry Johnson(Richmond, VA), 3  daughters Whydell Goethie ( Richmond, VA), Pernell Goethie (David) Beaufort, SC, Susann Cooper (Beaufort, SC). One Niece, Charlezetta Pryor, one nephew Earl Johnson. 4 sisters-in-law, and 3 brothers-in-law. 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, a devoted granddaughter Abenetha, and great-granddaughter Tyler, who assisted him during the final months of his life.
