Obituary of Veronica Dorothy Hudson

Veronica Dorothy Hudson, 88 of Mount Pleasant, SC passed away on May 2, 2016. A visitation will be held in Veronica’s honor on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services (7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E., North Charleston, SC 29418) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Roper Hospice in Charleston, SC. Veronica was born in New York on September 2, 1927, a daughter of the late Francis Joseph Reilly and Catherine Reilly. She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Hudson and was by his side as served 30 years in the U.S. Navy. After moving to the last duty station in Charleston, SC, the family settled in Mount Pleasant, SC in 1959. Veronica is survived by her four children, William J. Hudson (Missy), Gorge F. Hudson (EnHee), Susan H. Chellis (Stephen), and Thomas P. Hudson, six grandchildren, Melissa Hudson Wagner, Lauren Hudson, Deborah Hudson, Sarah Hudson, Stephen M. Chellis, Jr., and Elizabeth Chellis Mills. Veronica’s son Tommy would like to thank the team at Roper Hospice, especially the director Tammy, and nurses Luie, Elizabeth, Deidra, Stacy, Latasha, Chelsea, Chaplain Jay, and Burt, for the years of exceptional care for both he and his beautiful mother.
