Obituary of Maurice Allen Teague

Maurice Allen Teague, 83, of Moncks Corner passed away March 6, 2021 at home. He is survived by his wife, Mary Grooms Teague. Maurice was born December 3, 1937 in Williamsburg, KY. He was the son of the late Thomas Teague and Beulah Hamlin. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Teague, wife Henrietta of London, KY, half-sisters Debra Carr and Brenda Carr.

Maurice was a member of Dorchester Masonic Lodge #369, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Omar Shrine, and Royal Order of Jesters. He retired from the Navy after 23 years of service and worked for Lockheed Missile and Space Company for 16 years at the Polaris Missile Facility Atlantic. After closure of the base in 1995, it reopened as the Army Logistics Base and he continued to work until he retired at age 74 in 2011.

Maurice is survived by two daughters, Donna Teague Siler, husband Don, of Gallatin, TN, Vikki Lee Teague of Williamsburg, KY, stepson Kerry White, wife Jennifer of Ridgeville, SC. Grandchildren, Heather Siler, husband Chris Lewis of Gallatin, TN., Daniel Siler, wife Jennifer of Castalian Springs, TN., Jena Shaw of Williamsburg, KY, two step grandchildren, Parker and Connor White of Ridgeville, SC., and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Marvin Teague, wife Louise of St. Mary’s, GA., Jerome Teague and wife Linda of Hazard, KY. Half-sister Betty Carr and husband Bill Franklin of LaFollette, TN.
