Obituary of Dennis F Senn

          Dennis F. Senn, age 75, passed away surrounded by family on March 1, 2021.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Eva Linda Obrien Senn, her son and daughter from a previous marriage, Daniel Byrd and Anita Thornten, and  grandsons Jacob and Collin Thornton.   

          Dennis was a disabled veteran who served proudly in the United States Air Force for four years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967-68 where he attained the rank of Sgt.

          Originally from Baltimore, Dennis worked for the Social Security Administration for many years until he was injured at work and permanently disabled.  He later moved to South Carolina where he met Linda, the love of his life on a blind date.   They were married on June 5, 1999  and were inseparable during 21 years of marriage.  Despite his disabilities, with  Linda’s devoted care they were able to enjoy travelling together, enjoying sports, visiting with friends and family and were passionate fans of Southern Gospel music.  Dennis was saved in 1999 after he met Linda and became a born again Christian.  He was listening to Gospel music when he passed peacefully.

          He was predeceased by his parents Maj. Rudolph Senn, USAF Ret. and Dorothy Cox.  He is survived by his sisters Dianne Mandel and Mary Apicella of Charleston, SC,  Peggy Senn from New Jersey and Joanne Senn from N. Carolina along with nephews, nieces and cousins.

          He will be interred with full military honors at Beaufort National Cemetery on Mar. 26, 2021 at 2 pm.
