Obituary of Eric Michael Hughes

Eric Michael Hughes, 34, of Summerville, SC, passed away on April 14, 2021. He was born in Charleston county. As someone who never met a stranger, Eric enjoyed spending time with family and friends, motorcycles, church and fishing. 

Eric is survived by his mother and step father, Sandy and Woody Sewell of SC; grandmother, Ellen Breland of SC Emma Hughes of SC; step mother, Kay Elkins of VA; brother, Hunter Bunch of SC; sister, Leslee Mills of SC; two nieces, Mackenzie and Sable; aunts and uncles; Jason Allen of SC, Wanda Jackson of NC, Marie and Jason Leifheit of TX, Stephanie and Tony Garrison of SC, Barbara Siau of NC, Cathy Richardson of SC; and cousin Melissa Hughes of SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie “Smokey” Hughes of SC; his grandfathers, the late Albert “Jack” Jackson of SC, George Hughes of SC; and late step father Jeff Mills. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2 p.m., at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 722 Catamount Road, Holly Hill, SC 29059. All family and friends are welcomed.
