Obituary of Gary Thomas McCall

Gary Thomas McCall, age 59, of North Charleston South Carolina passed away Thursday, June 10th, 2021.

He was predeceased by his father, Jake McCall; but is survived by his loving wife and daughter, Cherie and Mary McCall; as well as through his mother, Annette McCall. 

Gary was born March 8th, 1962 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He had an artistic soul though his love for Photography shined through a little later in life than most, but when he discovered it he pursued it relentlessly. After years of hard work he received an associates degree in Photography at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He even went as far as to start his own Photography business with the help of friends and family. He promptly named it Patriot’s Pictures and it was his life's work.

Gary was also a three time cancer survivor and beat all odds. Even through all these struggles and every other he faced he still did everything in his power to be the best father, husband and son possible and he exceeded expectations. He was a pillar of light, stories, and jokes for everyone he met. A simple smile by him could have melted even the coldest heart. To love and be loved by him was a gift. The world lost a beautiful soul, he will be missed.

His Memorial will take place July 18th at 1pm at the McCall cemetery in Stedman, North Carolina. All friends and family members who can make it are invited to come.
