Obituary of Stephen Smith

Smith, Stephen (Steve) Thomas, 68, peacefully passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home in Goose Creek, SC. He worked for Blanchard Machinery for over 49 years.

Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, June; his son Stephen Smith (Kathy) of Summerville, SC, his daughters Chrissty Harter of Fort Mills, SC and Sherry Smith (JP) of Summerville, SC; his mother Virginia Smith of Charleston, SC; four sisters, Janine Heydrick (Bob) of Casselberry, FL; Becky Smith (Don) of Moncks Corner, SC; Paula Kennedy of North Charleston, SC; and Lillian Davis (Ralph) of North Charleston, SC; and one brother, Danny Smith (Camille). In addition, Steve is survived by his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a multitude of friends.

Steve was predeceased by his father Luther; and his brother Matty.

The memorial service will be held at SonRise Christian Church, 102 Myers Road, Summerville, SC 29483 on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 1:00PM.
