Obituary of Julia Lynn Seabrook

Miss Julia Lynn “Passion” Seabrook, age 23, of Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully in the evening hours on Monday, August 6, 2018.

Julia was born on February 1, 1995, and our family has been blessed to have her in our lives since 1996.  Julia was loved by everyone and had a magnetic smile, a big heart, and an undying love for the New England Patriots and dogs, especially her four-legged best friend Billy.

Julia attended Edmund A. Burns Elementary School and Garrett Academy of Technology.  She hoped to one day be a veterinarian.  Julia consistently showed us her grace, humility, and great strength.  She fought a daily battle with the symptoms of Lupus, but she never let that keep her from displaying her great sense of humor or trying to help a friend in need.

Julia leaves behind her mother (Rose Bankston), father (Gerald Bankston), sisters by law and by love (April Seabrook, Amber Ezell,  Christina Mcclenney,  Evelyn Freeman,  Gabrielle Bankston,  Kenadrya Grant,  Milly Asencio,  Serena Ezell,  Shy’Nyia White,  Tatiana Thomas,  Tiana Footman, Tyesha Brown,  Wendy Bonilla), and brothers by law and by love (Christopher Seabrook, Dakota Seabrook, Harold Seabrook, Jeff Seabrook (deceased), and Ivan Thomas), the love of her life (Denise Dixon) and, as she referred to them, her two “ride or die” best friends (Adolphus “AJ” Washington,  Kymberlie Scott).

Julia fought the good fight and brought positivity to everyone she encountered.  We will all miss her terribly, but we are comforted by knowing that is happy, pain free, and has been reunited with Billy.

Julia asked that she not be given a funeral or memorial, and the family will respect her wishes.  Instead, we will celebrate Julia’s life and welcome visitors at the home of Julia’s mother on Friday, August 10, 2018, beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Additionally, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Charleston SPCA, also known as the Charleston Animal Society, which is where we first met Julia’s pal Billy.  Donations can be made at the following website:  https://www.charlestonanimalsociety.org/donate/.  Please check the box under “Tribute Gift” and enter Julia’s name.
