Obituary of David Grooms

David Eugene Grooms, 64, of Moncks Corner, SC was called home to the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021. David was born on May 2, 1957 to the late Coleen Maner and Percival Grooms. He was a South Carolina Native and graduate of North Charleston High School. David spent most of his career in construction. He was a superintendent at Cullum Construction. He and his wife, Renee Grooms, married in 1978 and had one daughter, Jessica Carter. David was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting- especially deer hunting. He leaves behind many friends and family, many of those who would tell you of the kind-hearted soul he had and stubborn, loving man he was.

Surviving David is his wife, Renee Grooms; daughter, Jessica Carter and her husband Joshua Carter along with their son, David’s grandson, Brycen; Sister Dorothy Witt St. Cyr.; along with other siblings and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 1pm at Creekside Church, 506 St James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445. Interment to directly follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston, SC, 29406.
