Obituary of Carol Driggers Sledziona

Carol Driggers Sledziona, 69, wife of Timothy Joseph Sledziona, died January 8, 2022, at Summerville Medical Center after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her husband and loving daughter, Deborah. Carol was born on January 6, 1953, to the late Mr. James Allen Driggers of Summerville, SC, and Phyllis Cluney Driggers of Newfoundland, Canada.
 

Carol grew up traveling before they settled in Summerville, SC. She is a graduate of Summerville High School and Rice Business College. Carol was married to Timothy Sledziona on August 20, 1983, and has two daughters and one son. Carol worked for South State Bank as a Mortgage Closing Specialist and spent over 30 years as a paralegal. Carol was a very hard worker, a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her passion was helping others and making others feel good. She was always wanted to give and even at the end of her life, she continued to worry about her family’s health and well-being. She will be sorely missed by her family.

She adored her children and they loved her. Carol had a vivacious personality and made everyone smile. Carol loved the Lord and could recite scripture to help anyone in need of hearing the word of God. Carol was one of kind and we will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Joseph Sledziona, daughters Melanie L Davis, Deborah A Sledziona, one son Timothy J Sledziona Jr., and one son-in-law, Kenneth J Davis. She is also survived by her sister Julie A Driggers, brother-in-law David Woods, and one brother, James R Driggers. She also leaves behind four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen and Phyllis Cluney Driggers. Her two sisters, Deborah Ann Driggers and Susan Driggers Turley, and her two loving Pomeranians Lucy Diamond and Mr. Chubbs.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at Simplicity Lowcountry, North Charleston Chapel at 1 p.m. with visitation an prior to the service.
