Obituary of Pamela Jean Mays

Pamela Jean Mays, 67 of Goose Creek, passed away Thursday February 3rd, 2022. She was born November 30th, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Frank Lewandowski and Audrey Lewandowski. DECEDENT ADDITIONAL INFO- She married Kenneth Mays on April 4th, 1978. The two of them and their son traveled a lot due to her husband being in the Coast Guard. They decided to retire from the military and settle in Charleston, South Carolina. When they settled, she worked as a night auditor for Wild Dunes Resort for at least a decade. They had one granddaughter and five great grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Pamela was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will always be remembered as the sarcastic, fun loving woman. Pamela is survived by her brother, Paul Lewandowski; her son, Justin Lewandowski and his spouse Aisha Hazuri; her granddaughters mother and close friend, Jessie Sponaugle and her husband Michael Sponaugle; her granddaughters, Nina, Justice Holbert and and her spouse Russell Dickerson; and her five great grandchildren, Gabe, Audreyann, Clayton, Presley, and Jonah. In addition to her parents, Frank and Audrey Lewandowski, Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mays. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in memory of Pamela Mays at P.O. Box 147, Manning, South Carolina 29102. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 11th, 2022 at Northwoods Baptist Church, visitation will be 3pm to 4pm, the service will be from 4pm to 5pm, and the family will be accepting visitors from 5pm to 6pm.
