Obituary of Richard Johnson

Obituary of Richard J. Johnson, known to all that loved him as “Rick”.
Born June 9, 1945, and passed on February 19, 2022 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Steven J. Johnson and Alma E. Bray in Denver, Colorado. Rick was the first of eight children . Married to Diana Sagehorn on November 5, 1966, and following had three children, Terra Goyack(Moncks Corner, SC)Trisha Myers(Varina Fuquay, NC), and Mark Johnson(Anderson, SC) and a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Rick loved sports and was captain of his football team in High school as well as Wrestling. He held many titles in track that held for several years in school. He was very adventurous and loved fishing and diving off cliffs as high as 75 foot in the Catskill mountains of New York. He was always the life of the party, and had everyone laughing so hard. He loved reading and enjoying the deer that visited him every day precisely at 3:30pm. Singing and Looking out at those deer and the wetlands on his property was one of his favorite pastime activities.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
There will be a “life” memorial service at the clubhouse in Park West, Mount Pleasant South Carolina on Saturday, March 5. Drop in hours from 1pm to 5pm
