Obituary of Sandra Mary Caprio

Sandra Mary Caprio, 60, known to her friends and family as Sandy, passed away on February 23, 2022. Sandy was born in Philadelphia, PA but had called Summerville home since 1997. Sandy was a Navy veteran and after her service she continued helping people by choosing a career as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. She worked at White Oak Manor, where she touched the lives of many as she helped and bonded with the residents. Sandy was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Beverly Caprio in 2019. Sandy was the wonderful mother to Heather (Brian) Stevick, and loving sister to Robert David Caprio.

A small light went out with Sandy’s passing. She will be missed by all that she helped, her friends and family. A memorial service will be held on March 18, 2022 to celebrate Sandy’s life from between 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at 1026 Dominion Dr. Hanahan, SC 29410. In lieu of flowers, Sandy would have wanted to have her friends donate to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
