Obituary of April Renee Knight

April R. Knight, wife of Dale Knight, passed away March 14, 2022. April was a beloved wife and devoted mother.

April was born on September 27, 1976 in Spencer, WV. Daughter of Gregory (Gladys) Allen and Carolyn Cremeans. She moved to Summerville at age 11 to live with her father and stepmother. She was the first class to graduate from Fort Dorchester High School. After graduating she took a job at South Carolina Federal Union where she stayed for many years. Her love of dancing, drinks with friends and great music led her to Desperado’s one night where she met Dale, and from there the rest is history. They both knew that it was going to be a lifetime of love together. They married several years later and have a wonderful son together. She has always enjoyed listening to all types of music, camping, traveling, Florida Gator Football and of course anything to do with Tim Teebow.

April is survived by her husband of 20 years, Dale Knight; son, Alex Knight and stepdaughter, Taylor Knight of Summerville, SC. Father, Gregory Allen and stepmother Gladys Allen of North Charleston, SC; Mother, Carolyn Cremeans of Spencer, WV; Sister, Amanda Allen of North Charleston, SC ; Two brothers Rodney and Dustin Allen both of Spencer, WV; Sister-in-law Missy Knight of Summerville, SC; 5 nephews and 1 great niece; and of course, Laila, she loved that dog so much and Laila always made her smile.

She also leaves behind a group of very close friends that she loved so passionately.

A special thank you to her Mother-in-law, Patsy Knight and her Aunt-in-law Margret Ann Knight for sacrificing their time to take care of April the past 5 years.
