Obituary of Cecil Allen Gooding

Hampton, SC Cecil A. Gooding Sr. 93, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born September 4, 1922 in Varnville, SC. He was the son of James Murphy Gooding and Julia Belger Gooding. He was predeceased by his son James Jerry Gooding and is survived by his son Cecil A. Gooding Jr. (Jan) and sisters Deloris Beach of Varnville and Louise Schultz of Cayce. Mr. Gooding spent many years working for the city of Dallas, Texas and returned to Hampton, SC when he retired. He then enjoyed years of friendship and care given to him by Elender and Hoyt Mole. A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 3,2016, 1:30 PM at the Gooding Cemetary in Crockettville, SC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sandy Run Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 2100 Sandy Run Rd., Hampton, SC.
