Our street will never be the same without our Mayor. Chip was such a good, kind, gentle man. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to offer. He loved hosting bonfires and cookouts for the neighbors. Our New Years Eve tradition was a favorite and will be greatly missed. Chip truly walked with the Lord and I know he heard Him speak the words, Well done my good and faithful servant, enter now unto the joy of the Lord...Rest easy my friend, and have a fire waiting for us.

We will always be grateful for our friendship with Chip and how he loved bringing everyone on and near Pine Point on Varnum Pond together. He called it Piney Point. I loved hiking with Chip and brother Pete. My labs loved the endless throws into the lake for them to retrieve. Loss of a friend goes deep but can be wide as well in terms of those impacted. Summers were never the same after knowing Chip, and ironically, after losing him far more so. Pictures I posted are time hiking the hills near the camp and time down on shore with his brother.
One day Chip and I were hiking this small mountain shown in the picture. We were proud of our pace, feeling we were getting in shape. That lasted until 2 eight year old girls passed us at a fairly brisk pace. We just looked at each other and no more talk about what great shape we were getting into.
Chuck Hulsey. Temple Maine.
