Obituary of Eillen Susan Harris

Eileen Susan Harris, 66, passed from this world on Thursday, October 27th. Born in Modesto, California, she moved to Charleston, SC at the age of 6 where she lived until she was 24 years old. She moved to her first apartment in Florence, SC to work as an electronics engineer. She then moved to Charlotte, NC where she lived for 30 years prior to moving back to Charleston. Eileen worked as a technical writer and as an operator for AAA until she retired. She was an avid reader and cat lover. Eileen was pre-deceased by her Fur-baby Bobbi. Bobbi passed after 18 years of shared love and companionship.

Eileen was pre-deceased by her father, Ray Harris, and her mother, Barbara Bell. She is survived by her siblings, Lowell (Laura) Harris of Charlotte, NC, Leigh Anne (Frank) Panek, of Summerville, SC, Cheryl Tamsberg of Charleston, SC, and Kathryn (Dale) Stewart of Gallatin, TN. who will miss her kindness and gentle spirit. Eileen had nine nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. Eileen never missed a birthday for any of her family members and we will miss her calls and cards. She crocheted blankets for all her great nieces and nephews. At Christmas, she was so excited to give the gifts that she picked out specifically for each person.

Eileen’s Celebration of Life will take place on November 26th, 2022, at 3:00PM in the home of her sister, Leigh Anne Panek, in Summerville, SC. In Lieu of Flowers, please bring a donation for the local animal shelter or a book for donation to the local library.
