I miss my friend so much. I think about her just about ever day. We fought the battle together. She was my rock and I was hers. She had a good spirit about her. She fought her hardest until her last breath. I love and appreciate everything she has done for me. Girl you totally missed.

I remember the last face to face we had out in the courtyard of that ATL Airbnb you told me things that still rings in my ear and speaks to my heart. I’ll never forget your grace and how much you truly uplifted never talked down or about me truly rooted for me and cared about my health even though you were dealing with all you were with yours. Matter of fact we joked about being Libras from mount p and sickly but sexy. I honestly had to keep myself from getting so close bc i know I’m not one that can handle someone close leaving this earth. You were always so strong but i looked in your eyes that day and knew you were truly tired as well and i couldn’t bare to see you again with that look I’m just glad you are no longer suffering. Rest in peace Queen <3

It was such a joy knowing Shoneese! We both sang soprano in Lowcountry Voices, and I aspired to sing as lovely as she did. I was so fortunate to hear Shoneese sing the song "Summertime" during a recital. It was such a fabulous rendition! She owned that song, yet was modest when I sang her praises. We worked on a real estate transaction together, and she was as driven and knowledgable as she was talented. I will miss her. My heart is heavy; with the only consolation being that she was steadfast and vocal about her faith and trust in God. Rest easy my friend.
