Obituary of Patty Jean Forney

Patty Jean Forney, 81, of Johns Island, South Carolina passed away January 30, 2023  at her home . She was born on July 30, 1941 in Mt. Airy, North Carolina to James Hicks and Nonni Rachael Simmons Hicks.

Patty is survived by her brother Delma Hicks, her sister Georgia Tappen, and her five children: Clark Davis (wife Terri Davis), Teresa Puckett (husband Ron Puckett), Lance Davis (wife Phyllis Davis),  Gene Forney (wife Ginny Forney), and Patrick Forney (wife Leila Forney).She also has twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Forney, her son, Blaine Davis, and her 13 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery (604 Fort Johnson Rd, Charleston, SC 29412) on Friday, February 3rd at 2 pm with Mike Richmond officiating.
