Richard S. Wilkes
June 23, 1947 - October 31, 2023

Born in New Jersey to the late Stanley and Shirley Wilkes, he was a proud member of the US Coast Guard. He lived his younger years in Florida before relocating to Bluffton SC so he would be closer to his family and life long friends. He was an Electrician at Simoneaux Electric for 33 years. Fondly known as “Uncle Richie” by his family and friends, he was definitely loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents,his loving wife Judy and his brother, Robert Wilkes.
Those who are here to cherish his memory are his niece Roxane Roof of Elgin, SC, nephew Robert Wilkes of New Jersey and many friends who were just as special to him as his family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later time.
