Obituary of Constance Signie Svensen

Constance (Connie) Signie Svensen, 87, of Summerville, SC passed away, November 6, 2023.

Connie was a born in Brooklyn NY on January 21, 1936. She was a widower, married to Leif Svensen II for 68 years until he passed away last year on November 8. Connie is survived by her loving children; Karen Baldwin and her husband Dale, Leif Martin Svensen III and his wife Joyce, Keith Svensen, and Erik Svensen and his wife Kelli. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jill Davila and her husband Luis, Todd Baldwin and his wife Nichole, Lauren Svensen Daniels and her husband Charles "Trey", Emily Svensen, Olin Svensen, Sophie Svensen, Bryce Svensen and Brayden Svensen. And also, survived by her great grandchildren: Ella Davila, Austin Baldwin, and Cameron Baldwin.

Connie lived most of her life in Brant Beach, NJ. She was a homemaker and in later years worked as a receptionist at local doctors’ offices.

She enjoyed family Christmas celebrations. Being of Norwegian heritage she enjoyed baking Norwegian Christmas cookies that her Mom had baked and some years baked 1,000 cookies for festivities and sharing.

She loved flowers and was a member of the Garden Club of Long Beach Island New Jersey. Connie sang in Holy Trinity Lutheran church choir for many years. She enjoyed playing mahjong with friends and time spent on the beach by the ocean.

Connie also loved the cats she had over the years starting with a feral she found named Fluffy, to her Norwegian Forest cats, and a few more feral cats.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at The Village of Summerville, 201 West 9th N. Street Summerville SC, 29483 on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 3:00Pm. Light appetizers and refreshments to follow the service in the arts center. Flowers can be delivered to the Village with attention to the Chapel.
