Born on June 29, 1963, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Valerie was the third child of Wallace Edmond Oldham III and Juanita Moore Oldham. She was an exceptional daughter who was predeceased by her father Wallace and mother Juanita. She was also preceded in death by her sister Sheila. Valerie is survived by her brother Matthew Oldham, her stepmother Edith Oldham, aunts Donna Moore and Nadyne Oldham, several nieces and nephews, countless church members who loved her as their own, and the many children she loved and nurtured.
