Obituary of Virginia Doughty Guerard

Virginia Doughty Guerard, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on December 3, 2023 after a short illness. Ginny was born on December 20, 1931 to Dr. Roger Gamble Doughty and Heloise Gibbes Doughty in Columbia, SC.

Ginny was predeceased by her parents, a daughter Marian Holmes Guerard, her sister Heloise Doughty Herbert Dornin and her brother Roger Gamble Doughty, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Hume Lucas Guerard, children Jane G. Webb (Bobby) and Catherine E. Guerard, and Roger G. D. Guerard, all of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren Jason Webb (Laura) of St. Augustine, FL, Jeremy Webb (Jenny) of Hurricane, WV, and Elliott Webb of Greensboro, NC; great grandchildren Avery and Piper Webb of St. Augustine, FL and Evan and Owen Webb of Hurricane WV, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved very dearly.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
