Obituary of Matthew John Selepack

Matthew John Selepack of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired ironworker in the tri-county area, passed away early Sunday morning after a six-year long battle with lung cancer. The family will receive friends at Simplicity in Ladson on Thursday, December 14th at 2:00pm, with a memorial service following at 3:00pm.

Mr. Selepack was born in Cleveland, OH, a son of Kenneth and Beverly Selepack. Mr. Selepack was a lover of motorcycles and enjoyed this passion with his father and older brother. He was also an avid deer hunter and loved spending time in the woods. Surviving are his daughter, Daisy Lee Godfrey (Jason) of Hanahan; son, Matthew John Selepack, II (Kenzy) of Goose Creek; daughter, Lacey Nicole Crossno (Beau) of Summerville; daughter, Cathleena Crawford Selepack (Chris), of Goose Creek; a brother Mark Selepack (Beverly) of Highlands Ranch, CO; and a sister, Stefanie Mills (Cecil) of Macedonia, SC. He was also survived by his nine grandchildren whom he adored and were so very proud of; Maddison Lee Godfrey (18), Cayden Michael Dwayne Wright (14), Emma Kate Godfrey (12), Natalie Aria Gemma Wright (9), Rhett Cooper Selepack (9), Kinsely Rain Lyon (9), Lillian Elizabeth Owens (3), Jayda Raine Knight (22 mos), and Gabriel Kai Knight (10 mos). He also leaves behind many friends who loved him dearly, including those who helped care for him in his final months; Cathrine Gallagher, Josette Grant, Angie Hess, Lynwood Long, and Jamie Pacetti.
