Marian grew up in Mt. Airy, PA and graduated from Germantown High School. She married Robert in 1945 and raised her family in Bethlehem, PA. where she lived until she and Robert moved to Hilton Head in 2020. She was known and loved for her caring devotion to her family, which included her sisters as well as her own parents, all of whom lived into their mid and late nineties. Holidays were full of grandparents, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and lots of love. Marian was also known for her "street smarts". Famous for the expression "What do they know?", she used her great common sense, humor and kindness of spirit to light her way in the world, a trooper and true lady of grace to the end. She lived a great, long life and will be deeply missed but with us in spirit always.
Celebration of Marian's life will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, 7 Plantation Park Drive, Bluffton, South Carolina 29910.
