Obituary of Francis X Fallon

Francis X (Frank or Butch) Fallon passed away peacefully with his wife, Jo, by his side, on Thanksgiving morning , November 23, 2023.

He was born on August 7, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York growing up in Forest Hills, New York. Dr & Mrs Frank Fallon moved to Dunn, North Carolina in 1971 along with 4 of their 7 children. Frank embraced the southern lifestyle and made lifelong friends while attending Dunn High School and Campbell College where he graduated in 1978.

He was a retired IT professional living in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area of South Carolina. Frank was an avid musician playing with a number of bands across the years. He and his sister, Mary, loved to play and sing together at family gatherings, lovingly referred to as “Fallon Fests”. Music was at his core whether he was playing, singing, composing, writing lyrics or creating threads of music on FaceBook.

Frank was survived by his wife of 44 years, Jo Bonetto Fallon, his son, Patrick and grandson, Greyson along with his sister-in-law, Jan. He was also survived by his sisters, Lucille, Carol and Mary Ann and his brother Denis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Francis and Elynore Fallon, sisters, Elynore (Bunny) Caro and Joan Fallon.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be planned for a later date. Remember and honor him by playing your favorite tunes. Frank believed as Plato did “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
