Obituary of Carol Anne Brummett

Carol Anne Brummett, 85, of North Charleston passed away peacefully on December 11th, surrounded by family and loved ones. Carol grew up in Southern California, an area she loved and resided in until 2006 when she moved to South Carolina with her son's family and her beloved dog Willie. Carol's commitment to children's education and wellbeing was surpassed only by her boundless energy, teaching and volunteering in elementary schools for nearly 50 years.  Carol also volunteered with the public library in Summerville, Summerville Medical Center, and was a passionate gardener - often seen mowing her lawn until she was 84.

Carol was predeceased by her father, Herbert Schaefer, her mother Marjorie Schaefer, and her brother Charles Schaefer. She is survived by her brother Chris Schaefer, her three sons, her three grandchildren and literally hundreds of very close friends she loved very much.  True to Carol's character, she maintained a very close relationship with her former husband Donald Brummett and his current wife Jeannine.
