Obituary of Lucy Marotta

Lucy Marotta, age 99 passed away on the morning of December 14, 2023, just a
week shy of her 100th birthday. Born She was born on December 21st, 1923,
Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Frank and Frances Petrelli. She lived in the New
York Tri State area most of her life. Her husband Charles Maro*a predeceased her
in 1988, as did her sister, Anne Levine and brothers Dominic Petrelli, Nicholas
Petrelli, Rocco Petrelli and Arthur Petrelli. In 2015, along with her daughter Jo
Anne and son-in-law, Vincent Scotti, she moved to Summerville, South Carolina to
live her final years. Lucy was a devoted mother to her sons Rocco (wife Lisa Mann)
of Ridgefield, Carl (wife Linda Reiss) of West Chester, PA, and Daniel Maro*a of
New York City, and to her daughter Marguerite Vidakovich (husband Douglas), as
well as a beloved grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She
was a daughter, a sister, a seamstress, a wife, a mother, a cook, a traveler, a god-
fearing woman and to fit 100 years of her life and experiences into a few
sentences is next to impossible. Her en\re family is thankful for the 99 years they
had with her and will hold her memory and love close to their hearts. A Funeral
Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19th at Noon at St. John the Beloved
Church in Summerville, South Carolina. Her burial will take place at a later date at
Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, NY
