Obituary of Shannon Lynn Martin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved daughter, Shannon Lynn Martin who entered eternal peace on December 20, 2023 she was forty- two years old. Shannon was born December 07, 1981 to Larry and Cindy Nelson of Moncks Corner. Shannon was a Berkeley High School and Clemson University graduate who served the citizens of as a Disability Advocacy Coordinator. Shannon loved to spend time with her daughter Lily, Shannon also enjoyed painting, listening to music and her cat Abbey. Shannon was preceded in death by her father Larry Nelson. Shannon is survived by her mother, Cindy Nelson, daughter Lilith (Lily) Jean Bunton, Step Father, Curt Wood, Step Sisters Sherri Elizabeth Jacobs, Jessica Dangerfield, Step Brothers Kevin and Jason Wood. Aunts Brenda Hanna, Derese Hamlet and Uncles Michael Roach and Joesph Roach.

Shannon’s family invites her friends to attend visitation at Simplicity Funeral Services located at 281 Treeland Dr, Ladson on December 28th from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow. There will be a private interment service later.
