Obituary of Gerald Carlisle Weatherford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Carlisle Jastrzembski Weatherford of Charleston, S.C. He went to be with our Heavenly Father Thursday, January 11th2024 after a long illness, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born on October 13, 1945, to the late John Henry Jastrzembski and Gloria Carlisle Jastrzembski. He was proudly adopted by His Stepfather, the late Charles Weatherford, that loved him as a son, and he loved him as his own father.

He is survived by his devoted wife Glenda Ratliff Weatherford. Sons Gerald Carlisle Weatherford II,of Mount Pleasant , Todd Weatherford of Aurora, Colorado, Daughter Dara Lee Weatherford of Charleston (Todd Komara). He was Blessed by four beautiful grandchildren. Trey Weatherford ( Mikalya ), (who he raised as his own son) Scarlett Gobert, Stephen Weatherford, Skyler Niles. Great grandchildren Kyleigh Faye Weatherford, Brantley Weatherford, Jaxson Carlisle Weatherford and Brooklyn Weatherford

As a devout Baptist Christian he witnessed to those he met even until near the end of his life. His wife and children were the world to him, and he always made sure to provide and give them the best he could, but most importantly he instilled Faith, love, Hard-work and kindness to his children and all he met. He with his wife Glenda, Owned their own Company Weatherford Painting and Construction. Their work is still proudly displayed throughout the Charleston and surrounding areas.

He loved to play pool, listen to music, play cards, read the Bible, watch classic westerns, sports and argue with the news and just being with those he loved. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Celebration of life will be held privately at his residence. January 23, 2024 from 4-6 pm
