Obituary of Charles Edward Booze, Sr

On January 31,2024 Charles Edward Booze Sr walked through the pearly gates of heaven where his wife Pamela was awaiting his coming. Chuck passed at the young age of 66.

He was born December 25, 1957 in Charleston, SC to the late Charlie Russell Booze and Alice Booze Ray. Chuck grew up on James Island where he attended Ft Johnson High School and met the love of his life. In 1979 he married Pamela (Pam) Burris to whom he continued to love deeply through 43 years of marriage. They had two children, Amy Melissa Booze Cordray, of Ravenel and Charles Edward (Eddie) Booze Jr, of James Island. Chuck went on to work for the Charleston Naval Ship Yard in 1979 and later retired in 1999. Following retirement, he joined the workforce again spending 8 years at the Charleston Navel Hospital. He spent the past 16 years with his fabulous work family at Palms Associates where he earned numerous awards and certificates for his accomplishments. He was a dedicated provider, husband, father, son, brother and friend. Chuck was one of the most intelligent people and would succeed in whatever he put his mind to.

Chuck is predeceased by his father Charlie Russell Booze, and wife Pamela Burris Booze.

He is survived by his daughter Amy Booze Cordray (Philip) of Ravenel, son Charles “Eddie” Booze Jr of James Island, mother Alice Booze Ray of James Island, brother William Scotty Booze (Lori) of James Island, mother-in-law Nancy (Harold) Andolfatto of Meggett, sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Danny Kelly of Charleston, his dear grandchildren Brandon Thomas and Harlee Cordray both of Ravenel, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday February 17, 2024 at Grace Point Baptist Church located at 942 Folly Rd at 11:00am with a celebration of life following in the fellowship hall.
