Obituary of Joseph Elsey Reeves

Joseph “Jody” Elsey Reeves of RAVENEL, SC passed away peacefully at home on Monday February 19, 2024. Jody was born June 8,1949 in Charleston South Carolina. Jody was an Army Vietnam Veteran, he loved fishing, hunting, playing cards and enjoying time with his beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father Walter “Eddie” Reeves , Mother  Martha Elsey Reeves, Brothers Allen Morris and Enos Legare Reeves as well as his wife Mary Eversole Reeves. He is survived by his siblings Carol Hyatt (Alton) and Walter “Eddie” Edward Reeves II (Debra), Daughter Melissa Johnson (William), his grandchildren  William Johnson (Sarah), Elizabeth Hills (Gary), Mary Johnson, Jacob Johnson, his great grandsons Bryson Goodwin, Liam Hills and Ian Johnson as well as various other friends and family. A memorial service will be held per Jody’s request at a later date.
