Obituary of LaDonna Sue Salo

LaDonna Sue Salo, 70, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024, in Summerville, SC

LaDonna was born in St. Charles, MO on January 1, 1954, to William and Dorris Talley. She led an adventurous life as a Truck Driver/Owner Operator for over 40 years and was one of the first women drivers in a male dominated field. Those who knew LaDonna best called by the handle of Scotch -n- Soda. She loved her 1992 120” Peterbilt and won “Best in Show” at the Dallas Truck Show. She made many lifelong friends up and down the road and will be remembered fondly by them.

When LaDonna retired she moved closer to be with her family and you could find her at any lake fishing or cheering her Grandchildren on at the ball field.

LaDonna is survived by her daughter, Bobbi (Ed) and her brothers Paul (Jeanne), Jim, and Richard (Lisa). She will be remembered fondly by her Grandchildren Joseph (Brooke), Taylor (Aubrey), Edward, Daniel, David, Shelby, Kyle, Cody, Nathan, and Kyle. LaDonna loved her Great Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded by death by her parents, her son Wayne, her husband Fred, her sister Kathy, her brothers Butch, Greg, Doug and her sisters in law Linda and Patricia.
