Obituary of Robert "Bob" Emmett Shanahan Jr.

Robert (Bob) Emmett Shanahan, age 74, Retired Patrolman from the Chicago Police Department with 26 years of service. Beloved husband of Joan, loving father of Robert Shanahan, (the late) Michael (Zip) Shanahan, Kristine Lavery and Matthew Shanahan. Loving grandfather of Camryn Shanahan, Ronan and Aurora Lavery and Skyler, Jackson & Austyn Shanahan. Dear brother of Carolyn Wheat, Larry Shanahan and (the late) Mary Kay Lindberg. Bob was known for his caring and loving character. He was very outgoing and personable and would offer to help anyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
