Obituary of Sharon Annette McClenney

Sharon A McClenney, 60 of Charleston, SC passed away on Sunday March 3, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Chesapeake Virginia on April 23, 1963 to the late Lemuel McCLenney Jr. and Melba Geraldine Boyce. In addition to her death she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Lemuel McClenney, sons, Aaron O’hara McClenney, and Ralph Davis McClenney.

Sharon is survived by her sisters Leslie Smith and Betty Decena, (special brother-in-law Ed) that where her special strength. She is survived by her 4 adult 2 minor children, LaKisha McClenney (Avery), Michael McClenney, Jonothan McClenney, Mary McClenney, Kamani McClenney, Kalani McClenney, and friend Andy Butler. Her 7 grandchildren, Kiara McClenney, Mia McClenney, Christopher McClenney, Landon Hunt, Amari McClenney-Asforis, Mekkhala McClenney, and James Horry. Her 4 great-grandchildren Mackenzie McClenney, Jakai McClenney-Brown, and Cota McClenney. Sharon is also survived by a host of family and friends.

Sharon grew up on James Island and graduated from Fort Johnson High School. She worked for many years in retail in the Charleston area, she has a host of great friends that continued to call her friend until her sunset. She enjoyed spending her summers at the beach or in a pool. Sharon will surely be miss by everyone who met her.
