Obituary of Mercedes Castillo

 Mercedes Castillo, 89, of Bluffton South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024.

Mercedes was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and wife.  Born in Havana, Cuba, Mercedes worked hard to become a US citizen and excelled at designing exquisite wedding gowns.  Her love of family and friends, along with her unselfish nature will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco , and is survived by her son Edward Castillo, his wife Ellen and two granddaughters, Isabella and Kailee; her son Frank, his wife Andrea and three grandchildren, Amanda, Dominick, and Mary.  She is also survived by her three brothers, Manuel, Gerardo, Julio and sister Clara and their beloved families.

A memorial & celebration of life service will be held at Andrew J. Magni and Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Newton Massachusetts on Saturday, May 4th from 2-4:30 pm.
