Obituary of Keelie Farmer Gilden

Keelie Anne Farmer Gilden, 57 of Mt. Pleasant entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2015 after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born April 30, 1958 in Charleston, SC, to Peggy Hediger Farmer and the late George Adolph Farmer, Sr. Keelie loved spending time and drawing closer to God on the beach where she grew up on the Isle of Palms. She loved to surf, play softball & basketball. She never treated anyone like a stranger and made people laugh wherever she went. She is survived by her loving son, Corey Gilden; her mother, Peggy Farmer; her sisters, Lisa Wright (Dale); Marcie Lesesne (Sidney); her brother, Dolph Farmer (Laura); and ten nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, November 30, at 11:00 AM St. Andrews Episcopal church in the Ministry Center building. The family will receive friends for two hours following the service at the church in Sams Hall.
